 The CF (Cystic Fibrosis) Spooktacular was held on Friday, Oct. 26, at The Renaissance, 2131 Hylan Blvd., Grant City.  Team Kaitlyn, Kamryn's Angels, Team Matt and Team Nik are the hosts.The Inaugural CF Spooktacular is Halloween-themed and will include dinner and a premium open bar. To add to the fun, the evening will feature a costume contest, silent auction, raffles and 50/50. dancing, and much more including  chances to win a Club Med vacation, jewelry, iPad 2 and other items.  
The event is being hosted by a group of parents with children with CF ranging from 5 to 12. In addition to raising funds, they hope to raise awareness about the disease.
Cystic fibrosis is an inherited, life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 Americans live with CF. There are roughly 1,000 new cases of CF diagnosed each year, and approximately 92 percent of all newly diagnosed patients are under 18 years of age. The predicted median survival age for CF patients is 37 years.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
