The EleFUNk Gallery -- Opening First Friday, April 5 at 6:00pm until April 27 at 11:45pm in PDT
World of Graff and Patti Astor, star of Wild Style and founder of the original FUN Gallery, are bringing top artists from around The Bay, AZ, WA, and NYC out to Oakland for The eleFUNk Gallery in April. The eleFUNk opens at LOAKAL on 1st Friday, April 5th from 6-10pm, and there will be a wall jam and closing reception on Saturday, April 27th (FUN all day on two epic walls @ 4th & Webster, and a Wild Style closing reception @ LOAKAL 7pm-midnite with Patti A, DJs, & all the artists). Get out and witness some of the area's top DJs and more than 20 top artists rockin' the walls of Oakland...just for the FUN of it.
The FUN Gallery was a NYC gallery where neighborhood kids, downtown artists, b-boys, rock, film and rap stars mixed with museum directors, art historians and uptown collectors at wild openings featuring artists like Futura, Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quiñones, Kenny Scharf, Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Patti A and The eleFUNk Gallery crew will pay tribute to the legends and iconic history of The FUN Gallery's past while creating some FUN and history of their own. Don't miss this line-up featuring:
